God’s Hate held a headline performance at The Midnight Hour in San Fernando, California on August 18 to commemorate the release of their new EP, “Won’t Be Disgraced”, as per theprp. Twitching Tongues, Internal Affairs, Piece By Piece, Human Garbage, Start Today, and Firestarter also performed as part of the venue’s final “818 Day.” Terror‘s guitarist Martin Stewart, among others, performed a cover of Terror’s “One With The Underdogs” with Twitching Tongues as they concluded their performance. In the video below, at about 23 minutes in, you can see that happen. In the meantime, God’s Hate, which includes Stewart, members of Twitching Tongues, and others, included their recently released rendition of Harm’s Way’s “Warriors Will Reign” in their set for the first time.

The video below shows them performing that homage to the late Harm’s Way/”HardLore” guitarist Bo Lueders at about 22:00. Naturally, Lueders co-hosted the well-liked “HardLore” podcast with Colin Young, the drummer for God’s Hate and singer of Twitching Tongues.

“Life Is Hard. Be Harder”

The goal of God’s Hate, one of the hardest hardcore bands in the country, was to re-establish the mantle of hardness established by East Coast HC Titans Merauder, Hatebreed, and the seminal troy-core scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band was founded by vocalist/AEW professional wrestler Brody King and Colin Young of Twitching Tongues.

Before witnessing their full-length debut, “Mass Murder”, in 2016, God’s Hate responded to that question with a fist to the throat on the “Divine Injustice” and “Father Inferior Seven-Inches” in 2014 and 2015, respectively. They used the strong-arm musical tactics of their forefathers—beatdown riffs, slamming breakdowns, gang vocals, and no bullshit whatsoever—to rail against religion, the government, and the stupidity of humanity.

As of right now, five years have passed since the release of the last God’s Hate album. During that time, King’s professional wrestling career has taken off, Colin has been touring intermittently with Twitching Tongues, there have been births, deaths, and significant life changes, as well as a factor in the COVID-19 pandemic, so perhaps the delay doesn’t seem all that long.
