German band Future Palace are taking big steps to catapult their already promising career to the next level. The German band is thrilled to announce that they have signed with Century Media Records.
To celebrate this new collaboration, they have shared the video for their new single “Cyclone“. Watch the video at this link:
This is the first taste of new music since last year’s “DISTORTION”, released in September 2024.
The artwork was created by Peter Leukhardt.
The band’s comment:
‘Cyclone’ is about the war that often rages within ourselves, how an old version of yourself keeps fighting you, especially in reference to depression, and how exhausting it can be to avoid returning to that old version and try to represent a sort of rebirth of yourself, focusing on the inner conflict.
A cyclone tries to tear you apart and invade your peace, and it can be almost impossible to fight it.
The themes of mental health, growing and healing, distancing yourself from past versions of yourself have long been a part of Future Palace’s music and that continues with “Cyclone“. The song’s energy effectively mirrors the effort it takes to prevent yourself from reverting to the old you that you would like to leave behind.
The band shares:
We used a sample with the word ‘amen,’ which started just as an and was later interpreted by as a sign of rebirth — amen and goodbye to your old self.
It also boasts the most monstrous breakdown the band has ever put to tape.
