The singer of the Texas death metal band Frozen Soul, Chad Green, said that he recently lost his father, Tony, as per theprp. This GoFundMe has been started to help with his last costs because, regrettably, the business of death is an expensive one. Regarding his father’s demise and this effort, Chad posted the following on social media.

I lost my dad a few days ago. He’s the second family member I’ve lost while on the road. I know this is where I should be and how proud they both were of me, but even knowing that, I can’t help but feel this overwhelming guilt and sadness about the time I’ve taken for granted.

Early in my life I hated my dad for so many stupid reasons, but I was a kid that didn’t understand how messed up and unforgiving life could be yet. Now I sit here thinking about just how crazy life is. I have this regret in my gut thinking about how every night on the road I talk about how short life is and how we need to take care of ourselves and the people we love, even if it’s just a call or text, and I still let it slip through my fingers again.

The truth is, in later years my dad never stopped calling or messaging me. He never wanted to push anything on us, he just wanted to check in and see if we needed anything. He would give anyone the shirt off his back just like Cory man. He just wanted to be the dad he couldn’t be when my brothers and I were younger.

I want to honor my dad for the man he became and the man he always was inside, the man I wish I didn’t take for granted my whole life.

We are navigating this the best we can, but financially things have been extremely tough, for fucks sake we can’t even afford to miss these last shows so I can fly home.

There’s a GoFundMe in my bio to help with the expenses from my dad’s passing if anyone would like to help. If not, I completely understand. Please remember it’s never too late to bury the hatchet. Life’s too short. Call your friends and family, one day you’ll really regret it if you don’t.
