Frozen Soul, a death metal band from Texas, has cancelled their August tour with Bodybox, Maul, and Eternal. and more, as per theprp. The band has had to reassess the run due to a slew of losses in the family, according to a statement released this morning, July 14, by guitarist Chris Bonner.

Chris from Frozen Soul here.. we have never canceled a tour before in our existence as a band but recently we have suffered some devastating losses in our families and we made the difficult decision to cancel our August tour next month. As some of you may know our singer Chad sadly lost his father in May when we were on tour and this past Friday July 10th our drummer Matt’s father unexpectedly passed away as well. Loosing a parent is one of the hardest things to go through in life.. We gave it the weekend to discuss moving forward with the tour but right now we decided it would be best to take some extra time off to be with our family’s and help navigate these terrible losses.. we hope everyone understands. Hug your friends and family a little tighter and tell them you love them every chance you get.

The show this coming Saturday @division.brewing is still happening and we have one more tour to announce for later this year so keep a lookout and we will see yall soon!

They were founded in 2018, released their first EP, “Encased in Ice”, the following year, and their first studio album, “Crypt of Ice”, in 2021. Their second album, “Glacial Domination”, which was praised for fusing hardcore and classic death metal, was released in May 2023. Trivium‘s Matt Heafy produced the album. In May 2025, the band played at the Sonic Temple music event in Columbus, Ohio.
