Blake Harrison, known for his contributions to Pig Destroyer and Hatebreak, has sadly passed away. Tributes from his friends and fellow musicians have flooded online platforms in honor of the late artist. The cause of his death has not been disclosed. Harrison was notably involved with Pig Destroyer, providing noise and samples from 2006 to 2022. Noisem:

“It’s with heavy hearts we have to say goodbye to our friend Blake Harrison today. He was a fixture in the scene when we were cutting our teeth as a young band in Baltimore. Blake was always great fun to hang and chat with and if it weren’t for the chance encounter meeting him we wouldn’t be where we are as a band.

If it wasn’t for his enthusiasm and belief in us as a band we would have never put out our first record on a label or done any of the crazy shit that’s followed. Blake and Pig Destroyer took us under their wing and stuck us on sick bills frequently which gave us a massive push when we needed it. We can’t thank Blake enough for being the kind, funny and generous guy he was over the years and we will miss him dearly. 💔”

Nasum:

“The entire Nasum family mourns the passing of Blake Harrison of Pig Destroyer. Very sad news indeed.”

Rottenness:

“RIP Blake Harrison, a legendary artist and amazing human being. Blake contributed so much to extreme music over the years and was a very genuine and kind person to pretty much everyone he met. it was only a couple of years ago that he contributed noise for the intro of ‘Violentopia‘ and we will cherish that forever. thank you Blake for the years of inspiration and friendship, descansa en paz hermano ♥️ #blakeharrison”

Mike Schleibaum (Darkest Hour):

“Blake Harrison I’ll miss you so much, my heart and soul are in shock. So much love for Lindsey Turnbullet – just frozen in disbelief, his spirit will ride with us no doubt. Will take time to process this.”
