Anglo-American rock band Foreigner will be a bittersweet memory. The legend is retiring from the scenes, and it is time for a Farewell Tour. Founded by the minds of Mick Jones, Ian McDonald (ex-King Crimson), and singer Lou Gramm, Foreigner hit the spot with tracks such as “I Want to Know What Love Is” and “Say You Will“.
Now, it is the end. At Billboard, Mick Jones confesses:
Foreigner is a completely revitalized band with a whole new energy that has won the hearts of our fans all over the world, and I want to go out while the band is still at the top of its game. I had the idea that was to become Foreigner back in 1974, and I was 30 years old at the time. By the end of our farewell tour, over 50 years will have passed, and that’s a long time to be on the roadMick Jones
However, a noteworthy tour is expected, and in tune with the band’s habits. Following Mark’statement, a local choir will get the ball rolling for this final 2023 tour too, performing an a capella medley of classic rock songs.
At the moment, Foreigner only released dates and locations for the USA.
