Foo Fighters cover Nirvana’s ‘Unplugged’ classic for the first time ever

This past Saturday, May 23, during the “Bottlerock” festival in Napa, California, alternative rock band Foo Fighters had an unexpected flashback in store, as per theprp. The band’s first-ever live rendition of “Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam” by The Vaselines was tucked away in their main act. That song is probably well-known to long-time fans of Dave Grohl, the lead singer of Foo Fighters, and his tenure with the renowned grunge group Nirvana. Nirvana frequently performed it live, and their 8x multi-platinum 1994 live album “MTV Unplugged In New York” featured an acoustic rendition.
