Beherit, the Finnish black metal pioneers from Rovaniemi will deliver their first performance outside of Finland, and their first official show in 31 years as they will be joining Japan’s 2024 NWN/Hospital Fest. The event will be held on April 6th and 7th 2024 in Osaka, Japan.

Beherit is scheduled to play a black metal set on Saturday, April 6th (NWM Day), and an electronic set on Sunday, April 7th (Hospital Day). The lineup of the Japanese festival includes artists such as black metal tyrants Blasphemy, Departure Chandelier, and legendary act Genocide Organ.

The Finnish group played last time under the name Beherit in 1992. The band was formed in 1989 by Nuclear Holocausto Vengeance (Marko Laiho), Black Jesus (Arjo Wennström), and Sodomatic Slaughter (Jari Pirinen), with the purpose of performing “the most primitive, savage, hell-obsessed black metal imaginable”. The band played a secret electronic gig in Finland last August under the name H418ov21.C and you can check it out here:
