Experience Serpico’s full Rosteri Rock performance

Author Päivi Närvänen - 17.9.2026

Finnish rock band Serpico brings its uncompromising attitude and high-energy sound straight to living rooms everywhere with the release of its complete performance at Rosteri Rock Festival on YouTube. According to the band, releasing a full-length recording of one of its live shows has been a long-standing ambition. The opportunity finally arose at a summer performance in their hometown, providing the ideal setting to capture the band’s raw live energy in its entirety.

The video is aimed primarily at those who were unable to attend the show in person, as well as fans of old-school, live-played rock ’n’ roll. The full-length performance also serves as a showcase of Serpico’s live show for concert promoters and venues.

Drummer Jani Serpico describes the band’s preparations for the show:

“We approach every gig with the same level of commitment and give each performance our full attention. Of course, there was a little extra nervousness this time, knowing that the show was going to be filmed. Due to the tight schedule, we didn’t have time for a proper soundcheck, so we had to go on stage and work things out as we went. The sound started to fall properly into place as the gig progressed. And, of course, there was the added factor that this was the opening show of the summer season. We hadn’t played a gig for a couple of months since our previous show in Jyväskylä, or Jay-Town. By the way, greetings to the brothers of Rimpanzcher!

The Rosteri Rock performance captures the very essence of what Serpico is all about. Running just under an hour, the recording is a reminder of what rock ’n’ roll is ultimately about: having a good time and enjoying great music that brings fans together across the world. Serpico has received plenty of positive feedback from music fans for its energy and authenticity. The band also puts considerable thought into the setlist for every live performance, and this show was no exception:

The setlist came together pretty naturally during rehearsals as we played around with the songs and tried different combinations. Just like we do with an album, we wanted the live set to have its own sense of drama. We feel that’s a very important part of putting a show together. The setlist felt right at the time, and it still does. It was also great to include a couple of cover songs. They fit nicely into the set and come from artists we’ve looked up to ourselves since we were kids. A huge thank you to Rosteri Rock, as well as the video director and cinematographer Cory Ander and everyone at Äänirasia!

The next opportunity to experience Serpico live will be on September 26 at Haitaritehdas Areena in Kouvola, Finland, where the evening will pay tribute to the one and only Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. The night will kick off with performances by Serpico and Rylos, followed by headliners Oddy Osbourne, who will close the event with a set dedicated to songs by Black Sabbath and Ozzy. Hard rock fans won’t want to miss this one, especially with tickets priced at just €8 in advance and €10 at the door.

And finally, here’s Serpico’s message to the readers of Chaoszine:
