Hard rock band Serpico has signed with Golden Robot Records’ distribution label, Robot Distro, marking the first Finnish artist signing in the company’s history.

Their highly anticipated upcoming album, ‘Dressed in Flesh’, is poised to be a gift for true rock n’ roll fans. Serpico pledges that only authenticity and genuineness will permeate the album, which will be recorded in full analog session on magnetic tape. With no editing, no vocal tuning, and no fake drum samples, the adrenaline-driven genuine rock that has always been the essence of Serpico will shine through.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Serpico to Robot Distro. Their innovative sound and unwavering passion for their music make them an exceptional addition to our distribution roster,”says Mark Alexander-Erber, CEO of Golden Robot Records.

“This is a huge thing for us and we can’t wait to get everything started. It’s been a long way to get here and we couldn’t be happier. This album and the deal with the GRR will definitely be the one of the biggest milestones we have ever achieved.” expresses the band about their collaboration with the label.

The album will be produced and recorded by globally respected Finnish producer Anssi Kippo, best known for his work with Finnish metal band Children of Bodom on their early albums.

“I’ve been a professional music producer for 30 years and have both produced and engineered several gold and platinum-selling albums. Serpico stands out not only for their great songwriting but especially for bringing back the genuine feel of danger to rock music. With the support of Golden Robot Records, they have the opportunity to showcase their potential to the world,” says Anssi Kippo, music producer and founder of Astia-studio.

Golden Robot Records are proud to announce the signing of the iconic Australian indigenous band, Blackfire, to its roster for a triumphant return to the spotlight.

Formed in Melbourne, Blackfire quickly became a powerhouse in the music scene, captivating audiences both nationally and internationally with their unique blend of rhythms, rock, and soulful melodies. After a remarkable 12-year run, the band took a hiatus in 1999, with each member pursuing individual endeavours while never officially disbanding.

In recent years, the original members of Blackfire — Selwyn Burns, Grant Hansen, and Brad Brown — found themselves drawn back together, reigniting the passion and fire that first propelled the band to stardom. Joined by new talents including Radical Son – David Leha on Lead Vocals, Peter Moore on Drums, Rod Crundwell on Keys, Monica McDonald, Leonie Whyman providing backing vocals & percussion, and Daniel Jauregui on second Lead Guitar, Blackfire has returned with a renewed vigour and a fresh sound that continues to captivate audiences.

Their latest album, which received widespread acclaim, showcases the band’s evolution while staying true to their roots. With plans for another album featuring their current line-up slated for later in 2024, fans can expect even more electrifying music from Blackfire in the near future.

“Blackfire’s return is not just a reunion, but a revival of spirit and sound,” says Mark Alexander-Erber, CEO of Golden Robot Records. “Their music has always been a powerful expression of identity, and we are honoured to support them as they continue to share their message with the world.” Blackfire’s esteemed back catalogue will find its new home at Golden Robot Records, further solidifying their partnership and paving the way for their musical legacy to reach even greater heights.

The band’s live performances are legendary, featuring an electrifying energy and a powerful connection with their audience that leaves a lasting impression. Fans can anticipate an array of exciting shows on the horizon as Blackfire embarks on this new chapter of their journey.
