In a statement released on Thursday, October 15th, the New Orleans thrash and groove metal ensemble expressed gratitude towards their supporting acts and fans, affirming that they have concluded their performances for 2026. The group will now direct their efforts toward the development of their fifth studio album, which will serve as a successor to their 2024 release, “Defectum Omnium”. Additional information concerning the reasons for the cancellations has not been disclosed.

Thanks to Parabellum, Intoxicated, Phantom, No Mas, all of the local bands and mostly all of you that came out to support us! Both onstage and at the merch booth- thank you for supporting small businesses!!!
In January 1986, Exhorder was established in New Orleans, Louisiana. They continued this sound with their 1990 debut studio album, “Slaughter in the Vatican”, after releasing a number of demos in the style of pure thrash metal. With the release of their second album, “The Law,” in 1992, they adopted a more groove metal-focused sound. In 1994, the band disbanded. The band got back together on May 9, 2008, and started working on new songs. On that day, the band’s official The roster of the reunited group and the headline “writing new material for the return of Exhorder” can be found on their Myspace profile.
On November 14, 2009, they performed at Southport Hall in Jefferson, Louisiana, for their first reunion gig. On December 12, they performed at City Club in Houma, Louisiana, and on February 12, 2010, they performed with Crowbar at the Hangar in New Orleans. All of these performances featured the same lineup as the Law album. During their tenure as French Quarter session musicians, Seth Davis, a drumming virtuoso from Houma, Louisiana, met Kyle Thomas. Shortly after, Davis joined the band, travelling from early 2010 to late 2011 and playing hits from the two albums.
