British pop icon Ed Sheeran and Californian punk vets The Offspring teamed up at this weekend’s BottleRock Napa Valley festival in the USA.
Sheeran made a surprise appearance during The Offspring’s set on Sunday, joining them for a performance of “Million Miles Away” from the band’s 2000 album “Conspiracy of One”. Watch the video below.
“What a pleasure to have you, thank you! Ed [Sheeran] told us that one of our records was his first CD that he ever bought when he was a kid. That really meant a lot to us, so we thought, ‘Wow, we’d love to have you come out to join us on stage. We’re gonna play one of the songs you wanted to play“, singer Dexter Holland said before welcoming Sheeran to the stage.
The Offspring haven’t performed the song live since 2016, but added it to their set in Sheeran’s honour.
