Due to poor ticket sales, it seems that the multi-platinum nu metal band Drowning Pool has had to postpone their seven-date South American tour scheduled for this month, as per theprp. A statement purportedly made by the tour organisers has been making the rounds online in the absence of any word from the band. Additionally, previously published listings for the trek’s scheduled stops have vanished from ticketing websites.
We regret to inform you that Drowning Pool‘s tour in South America has been officially cancelled.
The decision was made jointly by all the local producers involved, due to low ticket sales in all cities on the tour.
Customers who have already purchased tickets should request a refund directly from the ticketing company in their respective city.
For more information and specific guidance on the refund process, please contact the local production company.
Thank you for your understanding.

Bestselling nu-metal band Drowning Pool was formed in Dallas in 1996 by guitarist C.J. Pierce, drummer Mike Luce, and bassist Stevie Benton—originally as an instrumental trio. Three years later, with the addition of singer Dave Williams, the band solidified their signature blend of hard-hitting guitar riffs, searing drums, and moody lyricism. As a four-piece, the band found immediate success, and, after touring alongside the likes of Sevendust, Kittie, and (hed)pe, they signed to Wind-up Records.
