Djerv return with a new song in the soundtrack to the second season “Arcane”

Djerv first caused a stir in the international rock and metal scene with their self-titled debut album in 2011. Highly praised by magazines such as Metal Hammer and Sweden Rock, they quickly established themselves as one of Norway’s most exciting new bands with their high-energy sound and hits such as “Headstone” and “Madman”. Chart placements followed, as did a reputation for electrifying live shows.

In 2014, Djerv entered the gaming world for the first time: The viral hit “Get Jinxed”, written for League Of Legends, laid the atmospheric foundation for the LOL character Jinx (also known as Powder), which has long since become a fan favorite, and has amassed over 130 million views on YouTube and more than 100 million streams on Spotify to date. Now the time is ripe for another collaboration between Djerv and Riot Games: as part of the new season of the series Arcane.

Arcane is set in the League Of Legends universe and was developed by French animation studio Fortiche Productions and Riot Games. The series tells the story of sisters Vi and Jinx, who find themselves on opposite sides of a conflict between two cities that threatens to escalate. Djerv‘s involvement in Arcane brings the story full circle. Once again, singer Agnete Kjølsrud uses her iconic voice to translate Jinx’s fate into music.

It feels great teaming up with Riot again to help tell the next chapter in the story of Jinx. We can’t wait to see the track come alive in the show.

With the new, explosive song “Rebel Heart”, Djerv confirm their status as one of Norway’s most dynamic rock acts.

Djerv‘s “Rebel Heart” appears on the official soundtrack to the second season of Arcane – alongside other contributions from artists such as Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong, Stray Kids, Tom Morello, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, Ashnikko, Marcus King, Young Miko, Woodkid and Stromae.

The first episodes of the second and final season of Arcane have been available to watch on Netflix since November 9, 2024 and went straight to number 1 in the Netflix charts. More episodes will follow on November 16 and 23. When Arcane premiered in 2021, the series set the record for the highest ranked Netflix series to date within the launch week and was critically acclaimed. Thanks to a stunning first season, Arcane won four Emmy Awards and still holds a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Arcane League of Legends: Season 2 (Soundtrack From The Animated Series) will be released on November 23, 2024, coinciding with the series’ grand finale.
