Deftones’ Chino Moreno and wife rescue dog facing euthanasia
It’s applause-worthy news for Deftones, Crosses, and more as vocalist Chino Moreno and his wife Risa step in to adopt a rescue dog who faced euthanasia due to a severe anal prolapse.
The fortunate canine, named Scarlett, was rescued and cared for by The Pug Queen Foundation in Los Angeles, CA. After undergoing necessary surgery and a period of fostering, Scarlett found her forever home with the Morenos, who already share their family with two other dogs, Tito and Sasha.
The heartwarming story was shared through two posts. In one, The Pug Queen expressed:

She was just adopted by Chino Moreno @chinowmoreno the lead singer of the DEFTONES @deftones & CROSSES @crossesmusic, and his fantastic wife Risa @risamoramoreno!
This little girl was dropped off at a shelter with a severe anal prolapse after a vet told her owners to euthanize her. We quickly scooped her up & rushed her to the ER where she had surgery & spent many days recovering. Mary @mary.dolan.92372 then fostered her as she healed. When Risa applied to adopt her I denied her initially because Scarlett was having complications. But as she grew, everything healed and I let Risa know Scarlett was now ready! They watched videos of her on Mary’s page & fell in love. Since Chino & his band Crosses are on tour here, they came to meet her & took her home – to the tour bus – today!
