Dance Gavin Dance drops new single “Midnight at McGuffy’s” – album out in September

Dance Gavin Dance is back with a bang. The Sacramento-based post-hardcore group has just unveiled their brand-new single “Midnight at McGuffy’s”—the first taste of their upcoming album “Pantheon”, set for release on September 12th via Rise Records. Along with the track, the band dropped a visually striking music video that’s already making waves.

“Pantheon” marks a major milestone for the band. It’s their first full-length album to feature Andrew Wells (of Eidola) as the lead clean vocalist. Wells officially joined Dance Gavin Dance in 2024, stepping in after the departure of longtime vocalist Tilian Pearson. Pearson was dismissed in April 2024 due to creative differences, following a previous removal in 2022 over allegations of sexual misconduct.

Known for their eclectic fusion of post-hardcore, progressive rock, and funk elements, Dance Gavin Dance has built a fiercely loyal fanbase despite numerous lineup changes over the years. With “Midnight at McGuffy’s”, they’re once again pushing creative boundaries while staying true to their roots.
