Dance Gavin Dance drop “The Robot With Human Hair, Pt. 3” from upcoming album

Sacramento post-hardcore band Dance Gavin Dance have released a new single, “The Robot With Human Hair, Pt. 3”. The track serves as the second preview from upcoming live album “Tree City Sessions 3”. It follows lead single “Need Money”, which dropped earlier this year.

The new live recording revisits a song from the band’s catalog. Furthermore, “Tree City Sessions 3” completes a trilogy that began with “Tree City Sessions” in 2016. “Tree City Sessions 2” then followed in late 2020. Like its predecessors, the band tracked the 12-song set live at Pus Cavern Recording Studios in Sacramento, California.

Rise Records releases “Tree City Sessions 3” digitally on May 22, 2026, with a full physical retail release following on June 19. Additionally, a limited edition tour variant arrives at shows from May 22 while stock lasts. Fans can pre-save or pre-order the album here.

The release follows the band’s eleventh studio album “Pantheon”, which arrived in September 2025 via Rise Records. Meanwhile, Dance Gavin Dance kick off a two-month North American headline tour this spring. The run features support from The Fall Of Troy, Horse The Band, Wolf & Bear, and Novelists. Billing varies by city. The band will also appear at Sonic Temple and play several dates of the Vans Warped Tour throughout the year.
