Dutch singer, composer, and producer Charlotte Wessels is well-known for her unique voice and approach to contemporary symphonic metal that blends genres. Since beginning her solo career in 2021, she has developed a distinctive artistic identity characterised by emotional honesty, cinematic narrative, and a daring blending of music that unites dark pop, metal, and alternative elements. “The Obsession” (2024), her most recent work, has received high appreciation for its emotional depth, artistic development, and dynamic variety. In November 2024, Wessels and her band, also known as The Obsession, backed the release with a tour with VOLA. In 2025, they went on a large summer festival run, performing at Graspop, Hellfest, Tuska, Summer Breeze, and Dynamo Open Air.

They joined Epica and Amaranthe on the Arcane Dimensions Tour in early 2026, which was their largest tour to date. They performed in arena-sized venues around Europe. Melissa Bonny will accompany Wessels on their first European headline tour following the release of a new studio album in early 2027.
