Alexander Kuoppala to Chaoszine: “I have a new Cannibal Corpse style of a death metal band Thyrargo in the works”

December 29 2020 has been marked as a very unfortunate and tragic day in the music industry: Alexi Laiho, a Finnish metal music legend, passed away at the age of 41. Guitarist Alexander Kuoppala, who played with Laiho in Children Of Bodom from 1995 to 2003, talked with Chaoszine about the unexpected news and shared his memories and thoughts on the time he played together with Laiho. Kuoppala’s playing is featured on such Children Of Bodom albums like “Something Wild”, “Hatebreeder”, “Follow The Reaper”, and “Hate Crew Deathroll”.

Besides the unfortunate news, the guitarist also talked about his decision to leave Children Of Bodom and his new brutal death metal band Thyrargo, with a promise that the debut EP will see the daylight later this year. Watch the full interview here:
