California deathcore veterans Carnifex have premiered a music video for “Licking Love From A Knife”, the closing track on their upcoming album “More Than Misery”. The record is scheduled for release on November 6 through Sumerian Records.
The release follows the band’s 2023 album “Necromanteum” and marks their first full-length project with Sumerian. The new video arrives as the band continue introducing material from the ten-track record ahead of its release.
According to the album’s official product description, “More Than Misery” explores destructive love, war, death and inner torment. Its central theme is the transformation of pain into strength: confronting the darkest parts of life, leaving an old self behind and emerging more resilient.
The album opens with “…And I Held Hands With Death” and its title track before moving into “The Process Of Pain”, which features a guest appearance from Entheos vocalist Chaney Crabb. Other tracks include “No Gods Only Graves”, “Coffin Crowned King” and “Heart Made Of Teeth”.
Production was handled by Whitechapel guitarist Zach Householder, with Jeff Dunne responsible for mixing. The band previously released the title track and its accompanying video, which Chaoszine covered when the album was announced.
“More Than Misery” will be available on CD and vinyl, including a gold-and-black LP edition. The full track listing consists of ten songs, with “Licking Love From A Knife” serving as the finale.
The new music video gives fans another look at the album ahead of release. Its verified official YouTube URL still needs to be added to the draft before publication.
