Britain’s Royal Mail celebrates The Rolling Stones with 60th anniversary stamps
Legendary rock band The Rolling Stones will turn 60 in 2022. Founded in 1962, the band has sealed its place in the rock music iconography, with a string of hit records and huge-selling tours.
Now the British postal service Royal Mail has decided to celebrate the band’s anniversary by releasing a series of new Rolling Stones-themed stamps.
“Few bands in the history of rock have managed to carve out a career as rich and expansive as that of the Rolling Stones,” David Gold, Royal Mail Director of Public Affairs & Policy commented.
