Downstairs At The Dome played host to a three-band bill on a warm Friday evening, with Atlanta’s Starbenders headlining alongside London five-piece Dead Writers and openers Electron. The night marked part of Starbenders‘ touring cycle behind their fourth album “The Beast Goes On”, released on Sumerian Records in February 2026, and the package brought together bands whose aesthetics sat in closer proximity than the billing might suggest. Dead Writers opened the second slot with a gothic, post-punk set that drew on literary and romantic rock traditions. Starbenders closed out the evening with a glam rock show built around frontwoman Kimi Shelter’s commanding stage presence and a lighting concept that gave the set a warm, vintage quality.
