The wait is over: Californian metal band Avenged Sevenfold has shared a new song called “Nobody,” announced their eighth studio album and their first live dates since 2018.

“Life Is But a Dream”, the band’s eighth full-length LP is coming June 2nd, and today the Huntington Beach titans have released their “Nobody” single with an accompanying stop-motion video, directed by Chris Hopewell. You can watch it below.

While they’re not revealing too much yet, a press release states that the upcoming record “was inspired by the writing and philosophy of Albert Camus”, and is lyrically rooted in “existentialism and absurdism”. You can pre-order “Life Is But a Dream” at this location. The LP cover art (check it below) was created by Wes Lang and is definitely one of A7X’s most striking album covers yet.

To coincide with this huge announcement, the group has also just confirmed two huge live shows: they’ll be playing Los Angeles’ Kia Forum on June 9, and New York’s Madison Square Garden on June 23. Tickets for these gigs go on sale this Friday, March 17.
