Argentina’s Airbag to close band’s most important tour at Vélez Stadium in Buenos Aires
Argentinean rockers Airbag have announced that they will end the outfit’s most important tour in its career by performing at Vélez Sarsfield Stadium in Buenos Aires on December 21. Tickets go on sale on August 9 via tuentrada.com.
Airbag has written a great history in Hispanic music. Artists who have crossed borders with their compositions, influencing several generations with their authenticity, talent and absolute dedication to a genre that knows no limits.
The band enjoys the close contact with their fans and the unique atmosphere that comes from a big tour and live performances. Proof of this is their visit to Spain, after six sold-out shows at Luna Park in Argentina, attended by more than 50,000 people, in a year that has started with no breath. Argentina has already experienced the first shows of the tour in the country’s interior and the engines are warming up for Latin America with numerous dates.
Amid this whirlwind of shows, the Sardelli brothers group have announced that they will close the year at the Estadio Vélez on December 21, preparing a show worthy of a great celebration.
2024 has been a pivotal year for Airbag, acclaimed as one of the most outstanding rock bands, their career seems to have no ceiling, selling out every venue and making thousands of people vibrate.
Formed in 2004 by brothers Patricio, Guido and Gastón Sardelli, who began their professional career as teenagers, Airbag is now one of the most influential bands in Latin America.
Influenced by tango since their early years, the Argentinean power trio navigates the waters of rock in its hard, alternative, soft and even symphonic varieties.
In 2022, Airbag played the most important festivals in Argentina, such as Cosquín Rock, Quilmes Rock and Lollapalooza. They undertook an extensive Latin American tour, the “Jinetes Cromados Tour”, which took them to the main cities of Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico, where they were a resounding success. After a series of numerous concerts, they performed at the Lunario del Auditorio Nacional in October.
The group is coming from a period of great recognition and satisfaction, having played for the first time at the Argentinos Juniors stadium in a historic show for the band, in front of more than 30,000 people, as well as filling 5 sold-out Luna Parks in a matter of hours, with a huge attendance.
In May, Patricio, Guido and Gaston Sardelli performed for the first time at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, with two memorable shows in front of more than 30,000 people. In July, they embarked on a very successful tour of Spain, visiting Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante, Valencia and Mallorca, discovering new stages and audiences, demonstrating the strength of their artistic identity and the impact they have on the music scene.
Airbag ended 2023 with the biggest show of their career so far, their first sold out Velez Stadium and the fury of 45,000 fans who provided the perfect backdrop for a party for all the senses.
The band began 2024 by selling out 6 Luna Parks and embarking on an extensive international tour
