Jonathan Donais, who joined Anthrax in 2013 as a solo guitarist, says he has not yet heard any new songs written by the band. Donais told The Classic Metal Show in an interview that he is looking forward to hearing the band’s new material:

“I haven’t heard any music yet, so I couldn’t tell you. But I know they recently got together — those guys recently got together — and were working on it. I’m anxious to hear it. I can’t wait to hear it.”

When the guitarist was asked if he was involved in songwriting, he replied:

“Nope. Nope. Nope. All bands work different, man. They have a way that’s worked, and they’ve [had a] strong 40-year career. So, if it’s not broken, don’t mess with it.”

The band’s lead singer Joey Belladonna recently wondered whether Anthrax should be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Anthrax’s previous album “For All Kings” was released in 2016.
