Anthrax unleash official “Cursum Perficio” coffee blend with Dark Matter Coffee

To celebrate the impending release of Anthrax‘s new album, “Cursum Perficio”, Dark Matter Coffee has teamed up with the band to bring both the caffeine and the noise!

“Spreading the disease of metal for over forty years, Anthrax is stomping into 2026 with a new album with an urgency and persistence of such volume that only time itself can ensure it. This fistful of beans promises to make you euphorically thrashing mad from first sip to full slam; A blend for all kinds and queens meant to awaken you from the dead & back among the living!”

The base of “Cursum Perficio” is a washed process Catuai from Nicaragua that has been roasted with a little more heat to caramelize the sugars and bring out more toastiness; maintaining a sweet, nutty cup. We paired the Catuai with coffee from the Pacas Family in El Salvador, a blend of Bourbon and Pacas beans that come from several farms in the Santa Ana region, which go through a washed process at the Cafe Tuxpal mill. 

This coffee has a lot of chocolatey notes in the cup, with a hint of citrus that comes through as it cools!

Bassist Dan Lilker and rhythm guitarist Scott Ian founded the New York City-based American heavy metal group Anthrax in 1981. Together with Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer, the band is regarded as one of the pioneers of the 1980s thrash metal scene and one of the “Big Four” of the genre. Along with Overkill and Nuclear Assault, they were among the earliest thrash metal bands to come out of the East Coast. Scott Ian, drummer Charlie Benante, bassist Frank Bello, singer Joey Belladonna, and lead guitarist Jonathan Donais make up the band’s current lineup. Ian is the only member of Anthrax that has remained consistent throughout the band’s several lineup changes.
