In January 2024, Discogs released its list of the 25 most expensive items sold through their marketplace in November 2023. Among the notable entries, one particularly intriguing item caught the attention of many.
Securing the No. 3 spot on the list was Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge’s unreleased 2008 solo album titled “Passiflora.” This album existed only as a burnt CDr, with the name and artist scrawled in marker. Despite its humble format, it fetched an astonishing $5,434.
“Passiflora” was crafted during the inception of Ghost but never received an official release. While two tracks from the album have surfaced online over the years, the remaining 10 songs remain shrouded in mystery, unheard by the world. The known tracks align closely with Forge’s earlier project, Magna Carta Cartel.
For collectors and fans alike, the sale of “Passiflora” serves as a testament to the enduring intrigue and value surrounding Tobias Forge’s musical endeavors.
