Ministry founder Al Jourgensen has specified the venue and date for the industrial-metal band’s final concert. The farewell performance is planned for October 30, 2027, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, in the Los Angeles area.
Jourgensen discussed the final show in a conversation with Lyndsey Parker at Licorice Pizza Records. The musician indicated that the night would feature guests and collaborative performances from people connected to the band’s long career. Asked whether the ending would make him sad, he replied:
“It’ll be a fun last show.”
The decision to retire Ministry was already known. The latest interview adds a specific arena to the previously discussed October 2027 finale. In a separate Associated Press interview, Jourgensen also said he was satisfied with the decision to bring the band’s 45-year story to a close.
The group’s planned final studio album, “Hate to Go (Take Out or Delivery)”, is due on October 30, 2026 — exactly one year before the farewell concert. Its closing track, “We’re Still Here“, features a reunion with longtime former band member Paul Barker.
Ministry are expected to tour in 2027 before the final concert, including a European farewell run. Watch Jourgensen’s interview below.
