In the dynamic world of 616, Matthew Lidwin stands as a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire. Originating from the heart of beer city, Milwaukee, Lidwin has been crafting his own original music for over a decade, showcasing his prowess in drums, guitar, bass, keys, vocals, and lyrics. A true artisan of his creations, Lidwin has recently joined forces with the legendary Cleopatra Records, marking a significant milestone in his musical journey.
Throughout his career, Lidwin has collaborated with notable figures in the industry, including Bam Margera, Gas Lipstick of the Love Metal goth rock band HIM, and producers like John Fryer (NIN, HIM, Depeche Mode) and Eric LaBrosse at Cherry Pit Studios. Despite experiencing multiple lineup changes, Lidwin has persevered, reaching a new pinnacle after a decade of dedication.
From the age of 14, Lidwin has been writing and recording his original music, and now, at 32, he is more dedicated than ever. His hit singles, such as “Baby Blue,” “Cinderella Valentine,” “Dead And Beloved,” and “One Way to Love,” have soared to the top of the charts, securing the #1 position. A shining star emerging from Milwaukee, Lidwin is determined to conquer every facet of being a musician while simultaneously contributing to the industry’s growth.
In a testament to Lidwin’s journey, Bam Margera shared his admiration for the artist. Recalling their early encounters, Margera expressed pride in Lidwin’s growth, from dropping out of school to record his first album to achieving recognition on the charts. Currently, Lidwin has been recording music at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. Sun Studio is known worldwide as “The Birthplace of Rock’N’Roll”. Lidwin is highly influenced by Elvis Presley and is recording a cover of “We Can Make the Morning” there.
