“You’re certainly better than Birmingham!” cheekily exclaimed peeress Ambre Vourvahis to her packed Mancunian crowd. To think that the German symphonic powerhouse Xandria have been entertaining their fans for three decades, it did not stop a journey into their back catalogue from being unveiled. Each song blasted through effortlessly from the operatics to sneaking in its hints of heaviness. This was a night of top quality musicians performing musically strong songs with huge smiles of their audience.
