Within Destruction unleashes anime-inspired album in April – listen to new single “Cybergirl”

Slovenian metalcore band Within Destruction will release their new album “ANIMETAL” on April 11th via Sumerian Records. At the same time, the band has released a new single “Cybergirl” with a music video.

According to the band, “ANIMETAL” is the culmination of their musical experimentation, combining the band’s signature heavy sound with melodic hooks. The album puts more emphasis on melodic choruses, which are now a key part of the band’s musical identity.

The themes of the album run the gamut, dealing with fictional, grandiose characters and situations as well as with themes that are relatable to everyday life. The lyrics are heavily inspired by anime plots and characters, often taking a first-person perspective. The songs depict inner struggles, delusions and the oppressive influence of the outside world, among other things. The aim is to create a deep connection with the listener through storytelling.
