End It, a hardcore band from Baltimore, Maryland, seems to have taken down their official Facebook site, as per theprp. As of the time of publication, the page’s formerly active URL shows a content unavailable error. However, the group’s Instagram account is still live. Following their notorious banana man incident over the weekend, End It has been under intense scrutiny this week. Vocalist Akil Godsey of Terror and more placed a bounty on a fan in the audience who was dressed as a banana during the band’s live opening performance in Toronto, Ontario. Godsey offered the set list for End It‘s performance that evening as a prize to the person who tore apart the fan’s banana-clad costume.
A number of other concertgoers rapidly tore apart the fan’s outfit, demonstrating how fast the audience responded. The fan in question had been going to gigs dressed as bananas for a while, and this was the first time he had experienced such animosity from a band, as he would later disclose on social media. End It has not spoken on the matter in public, but on June 9th, the group was oddly absent from the announcement of a European tour with Hatebreed and Life of Agony, which they had previously been slated to begin.
Numerous opinions on the banana man incident have already been posted on social media, comment sections, and other platforms. Some musicians have even commented on the issue. The first five persons dressed as bananas to attend Escuela Grind‘s performance tonight at the Pitcher in Dusseldorf, Germany, will receive a complimentary gift. After meeting the banana guy earlier, the Toronto-based band The OBGMs rushed to social media on June 9, to express their support for him.
