What is Dimmu Borgir teasing?

After sharing an enigmatic new video on their social media platforms, Dimmu Borgir has caused a stir in the metal scene. We are left to figure out the teaser on our own because the band did not include a caption, explanation, or any other information. The footage appears to be brand-new music, though.

A powerful, orchestral-driven section and gloomy, atmospheric images in the little film strongly imply that the band may be getting ready to release new music. The post has swiftly sparked rumors about a potential future single, album cycle, or broader project despite the lack of an official announcement.

“Eonian”, Dimmu Borgir‘s most recent full-length album, was released in 2018. “Inspiratio Profanus”, an orchestral compilation, was released in 2023. The band hasn’t done anything since, so this unexpected teaser feels even more important.
Fans are already keeping a watchful eye out for the next hint, but for now, the only thing that is known is that something is stirring in the Dimmu Borgir camp.

I guess we’ll have to just wait and see…
