Vitriol is expected to persist despite the recent mass departure of members, as the band’s frontman Kyle Rasmussen, his girlfriend, and their dog, who were deliberately abandoned during a tour in New York, as per theprp. Rasmussen later explained that the collective decision of his bandmates to leave and leave him stranded across the country from his Oregon residence resulted from escalating tensions related to touring and interpersonal conflicts. He further attributed the conflict to the physical and psychological stresses of touring, compounded by heavy use of cocaine, which he referred to as ‘nose beers.’ Faced with an uncertain future for Vitriol, Rasmussen utilized crowdfunding to finance his return home, successfully raising over $10,000 through this initiative. In a statement released by Vitriol on December 22nd, Rasmussen committed to fulfilling the band’s previously scheduled support role on a European tour alongside Bölzer, The Ruins Of Beverast, Misþyrming, and Trepaneringsritualen. Nonetheless, it remains uncertain who will support Rasmussen during this upcoming tour.
