In a recent interview with Joe Matera, former HIM frontman Ville Valo revealed that he hasn’t been focused on the follow-up to his latest album, “Neon Noir”, which he released on January 2023 as VV, via Heartagram Records, distributed by UMG/Spinefarm.
Valo said:
The album came out about a year ago. We played 120 gigs last year and there’s about 30 to go. So, I’m still fully focused on this one. I am strumming and humming new ideas, but I haven’t really started properly focusing. I think it’s unfair for the tour, and it’s also… I find it extremely hard to live in the future and in the present at the same time, like working on what might happen in three years. It’s sort of like when this is over, then I can let my imagination bloom again and get into sort of like overdrive and then let the new music take over and then I’ll forget all about the past music. Keeping it all happening at the same time, my brain doesn’t kind of compute it all. I’m not a great multitasker.
