The official professionally shot video of Post Malone, Guns N’ Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and producer Andrew Watt paying a special homage to Ozzy Osbourne at this month’s Grammy Awards has been posted on YouTube by the Recording Academy/Grammys channel, as per Blabbermouth. To commemorate the life and legacy of the cherished Sabbath frontman who passed away last July at the age of 76, they performed a cover of the Black Sabbath classic “War Pigs” at the ceremony held on February 1 at the Crypto.com venue in Los Angeles. Kelly, Sharon, and Jack Osbourne were clearly moved and emotional during the performance, which paid homage to the late rock star.
When Post Malone and Ozzy collaborated on the 2019 single “Take What You Want,” which was later featured on Osbourne‘s 2020 album “Ordinary Man” produced by Watt, they first became acquainted. Slash, Smith, and McKagan all performed on the LP, which included “It’s A Raid,” another Ozzy–Post Malone collaboration. On his final solo album, “Patient Number 9” from 2022, Watt collaborated with the Prince of Darkness as well. This performance took place during the 2026 Grammy Awards’ “In Memoriam” segment, where the Recording Academy honored deceased musicians. In addition, Reba McEntire, Brandy Clark, and Lukas Nelson used “Trailblazer” to honor Brett James, Alan Bergman, Sheila Jordan, Roy Ayers, Jimmy Cliff, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Chuck Mangione, and others.
Trevor Noah presented the 2026 Grammy Awards, which were televised live on CBS and streamed on demand on Paramount+. The Recording Academy’s voting membership body of music makers, which includes recording artists, composers, producers, mixers, and engineers, represents all genres and creative disciplines and votes on the Grammy Awards, the only peer-recognized honor in music.
