Recently, In Flames recorded their fifteenth studio album in the studio. The Swedish/American metallers once again collaborated with engineer Mike Plotnikoff at the Los Angeles studio of Grammy-nominated producer Howard Benson, who has previously worked with bands like Motörhead, Body Count, and Sepultura. Benson and In Flames have been working together since 2016’s “Battles,” the group’s thirteenth studio album. It appears that drummer Jon Rice, who has been performing with In Flames since May 2025, will make his recording debut with the band on the impending follow-up to “Foregone” from 2023. Rice had previously performed with Scorpion Child, The Red Chord, Behemoth, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, and Job For A Cowboy.
