American metalcore band VCTMS have just dropped their latest single, “twenty/eight,” together with an official music video co-directed by Salem Vex and Austin Scherzberg. You can listen to the track below and on streaming platforms.
The band is using this release as a springboard into a packed fall schedule. First up is a European and UK run supporting ten56. and The Dali Thundering Concept, with dates kicking off in Antwerp on September 9th and wrapping up in Baden, Switzerland on September 26th.
Then they head back to North America to join Born Of Osiris, The Browning, AXTY, and Lost In Separation on a U.S. tour. That trek launches in Mesa, Arizona on October 1st and hits cities across the country, including Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, and New York, ending in Chicago on November 9th.
In a more personal context shared on social media, the band hinted that “twenty/eight” carries deeper meaning. One post notes a health collapse on the frontman’s 28th birthday last year, suggesting the song may reflect those experiences.
