The American heavy metal / gothic rock band Unto Others announced a new album with the name “Never, Neverland”, coming September 20 via Century Media. Together with this announcement the band dropped their new song “Angel of the Night“, which will be featured on this brand new album with all in all 16 new tracks.

The frontman of Unto Others, Gabriel Franco, said about this new song, that he tried to write a power ballad for once.

“I’ve always wanted to do a power ballad, and I think this might be the closest we ever get. A goth power ballad maybe. Sebastian’s [Silva, guitarist] solo in this one is my favorite of the record. He really did a phenomenal job.”

The new album, according to the band, will have sounds inspired by bands such as The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy and Iron Maiden. The band hired Tom Dalgety, producer of legendary bands Ghost and The Cult, for this new album.

Gabriel Franco also said about the band’s new album:

“My goal was to push this thing so hard that more people know us as Unto Others. At the end of it, I was burnt out, full of anxiety and raw nerves… […] I had an iron grip over those albums. Every beat needed to be where I wanted it and how I wanted it to sound. With this one, I took a much looser approach and gave the band members a lot more input. This is the first record with Brandon doing backup vocals instead of myself. Even though I still wrote the core of the songs, this one is a much more collaborative effort. I kind of let go of it because I realized it was killing me. And the record came out better for it. It’s the best thing we’ve ever done.”
