Rochester death metal outfit Undeath have officially signed to Relapse Records. The announcement arrives just as the band wrap up work on their fourth full-length, their first for the label.
Recording took place with producer Colin Marston at Menegroth / The Thousand Caves studio in Pennsylvania. Marston is known for his work with Krallice, Gorguts, and Behold The Arctopus. Further details about the album remain under wraps, though the band confirm more information will follow soon.
The move marks a significant step for Undeath, who previously released albums through Prosthetic Records. Frontman Alexander Jones addressed the signing, saying the band feel honored to join a label. He added that joining the Relapse roster alongside so many of their favorite bands feels like a dream come true.
Additionally, Undeath are currently out on a lengthy North American tour with Archspire, Crown Magnetar, and Mutilation Barbeque. The run kicks off April 24 and continues through June 7, covering both the United States and Canada.
