Trivium performed a set full of surprises and special guests at Bloodstock

With a plethora of notable guests in attendance, Trivium successfully concluded the opening night of this year’s “Bloodstock Open Air” event on August 8. The group’s first-ever cover of Black Sabbath‘s “Symptom Of The Universe,” including guest vocals by Robb Flynn of fellow “Bloodstock” headliner Machine Head, was a tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne. In addition, Trivium had Emperor‘s Ihsahn guest on “In Waves,” brought back their 2005 rendition of the legendary Metallica thrash anthem “Master Of Puppets” for the first time since 2008, and had Sleep Token‘s III join in on “Throes Of Perdition.” The shocks didn’t end there, though, as Trivium performed their recently released single “Bury Me With My Screams” live and Josh Baines, guitarist for Malevolence, sat in on “The Deceived.” The latter will be featured on the group’s upcoming October 31st release of their new three-song EP, “Struck Dead.”
