Florida-based metal heavyweights Trivium have returned to the studio only a few months after releasing their latest EP.
The band dropped the EP “Struck Dead” in October 2025, but instead of taking an extended break, the quartet has already started working on new material.
Vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy confirmed the news on social media on January 6. In his post, Heafy revealed that all four members are currently working together in the studio.
He also invited fans to interact, asking them to leave messages for the band as the sessions continue.
At this point, Trivium have not revealed whether the new studio work will lead to a full-length album or additional releases later in the year.
While studio work is underway, Trivium do not have any live dates scheduled until June. The band will then head to Europe and the UK for a busy summer festival run.
The upcoming tour includes several major metal festivals and large-scale shows across the continent.
