“Tonight is my first show as a rock singer” – Mikael Stanne discusses new band Cemetery Skyline and upcoming albums from The Halo Effect and Dark Tranquillity

Mikael Stanne is probably the most busiest metal vocalist in the world at the moment as he has currently three finished albums in the horizon ready to be released: Dark Tranquillity‘s “Endtime Signals” on August 16th, Cemetery Skyline‘s “Nordic Gothic” on October 11th and the next The Halo Effect album sometime in early 2025.

The new supergroup Cemetery Skyline consists of also guitarist Markus Vanhala (InsomniumOmnium GatherumI am the Night horde), keyboardist Santeri Kallio (Amorphis), bassist Victor Brandt (Dimmu BorgirWITCHERY, formerly also Entombed and Satyricon) and drummer Vesa Ranta (The Abbey, formerly also Sentenced and The Man-Eating Tree) played its very first live show on July 18th at the Finnish John Smith Rock Festival. 

Chaoszine sat down with Mikael Stanne before Cemetery Skyline‘s first ever show and discussed how he got involved with the band and what can fans expect from the several albums he has the plan to release during the next year. You can watch the entire video interview below:
