Tommy Lee, the drummer for Mötley Crüe, released “Tommyland Rides Again” today (Friday, May 22) through BMG, as per Blabbermouth. It is a daring reinvention of his second solo album, the 2005 classic “Tommyland: The Ride”. The updated version, which was freshly mixed by Tommy and Smiley Sean at Tommy’s own Dolby Atmos-certified studio, gives each track additional vitality and depth, creating a sound that was just not achievable in 2005. The album is also accessible on digital streaming services for the first time ever, with an immersive Dolby Atmos mix that gives fans a richer, more dynamic experience.
The cover art invites you to take a ride inside my twisted musical world and experience its new life after 20 years. And in Dolby Atmos.
“Tommyland Rides Again” features a brand-new bonus track called “Stupid World (Feat. Chad Tepper)” along with a music video. Tepper, an alt-rock musician and former professional skateboarder with over four million social media followers, adds a new dynamic and catchy edge to the partnership. His 2023 single “Rockstar Dreams Like Tommy Lee” highlights Tommy Lee‘s lasting cultural influence and makes the collaboration seem like a logical full circle.
“Tommyland: The Ride,” which was first published in 2005 alongside Tommy‘s book of the same name and his popular NBC series “Tommy Lee Goes To College,” was a fully realised portrayal of Lee at his most versatile. A record that defied genre norms and attracted a stellar group of rock, pop, and punk collaborators. The record, which was produced by Lee and Scott Humphrey (Mötley Crüe, Fuel, Rob Zombie), included cameos from Chad Kroeger, the leader of Nickelback, Joel Madden of Good Charlotte, Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys, and Walker himself.
Tommy Lee is the drummer and co-founder of Mötley Crüe, one of the most famous rock groups in history with over 100 million records sold worldwide, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a Netflix feature film.
