Legendary Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello has announced his return to the stage after being forced to cancel a series of European solo dates this week due to a family medical emergency.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer had recently postponed highly anticipated headline shows—including scheduled stops in London and Paris—to fly home and be by the side of his 102-year-old mother, Mary Morello.
Taking to social media to update his fans, Morello shared the reassuring news that his mother, a lifelong activist, is finally on the mend and has personally ordered him back on the road.
am sorry I had to miss a few shows due to my mom’s health. The incredibly resilient, indefatigable Mary Morello at 102 is now feeling somewhat better and has ordered me back into the fray, charging me with rocking you and fighting fascism six strings at a time. I’m on my way and will perform at Pink Pop, and God willing, beyond.

Affected shows:
Morello confirmed he is officially back en route to Europe and will resume his touring schedule right on time for his performance at the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands, promising to keep bringing his signature heavy riffs and political message to the stage.
