Tom Araya’s wife on her part in Slayer reunion: she “harassed’ her husband for over a year

Sandra Araya, wife of Slayer vocalist/bassist Tom Araya, has spoken of her part in getting the band back together for their upcoming reunion shows. She took to social media and posted the following:

Let’s clarify for the trolls: Tom was done with playing. I have harassed him for over a year. He agreed FINALLY. We shared that news with Slayer‘s awesome managers and they did the rest! So yes without Tom it wouldn’t have happened.. without me BUGGING HIM it wouldn’t have happened. But go ahead with your drama! I however will be enjoying a few shows and I’m thankful he loves me and the fans enough to do this.

Sandra isn’t the only wife of a Slayer band member to weigh in on the mixed reaction to their return. Gary Holt‘s wife Lisa also addressed the matter recently.
