Today’s controversy is offered by Korn and their alleged use of AI on merch products

Korn, the pioneers of nu metal, have caused some controversy with their most recent merchandise, as per theprp. The group has launched a blind box line of four distinct keychain dolls as part of a collection honouring their third platinum fourth studio album, “Issues.” Each is fashioned after the doll that appeared on one of the record’s multiple variant covers in 1999. Fans’ early concerns appear to be centred on the purported use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the product mockups presented for the boxes of these dolls on their official website, even though some may have trouble collecting all four varieties. On Reddit, fans of the band were eager to criticise the multiple misspellings and jumbled language that are associated with AI slop.
The use of AI in music and art is still problematic, even though it’s likely that these errors didn’t appear in the actual print of the boxes for the plush keychains. The dolls and purportedly AI-assisted product box mockups are available on store.kornofficial.com.
