Fieldy and Head seen together amid ongoing Korn bassist absence

Shared faith appears to have brought two key members of Korn back together, as per theprp. Estranged bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, who has previously described his departure from the band as a “retirement,” was spotted spending time with guitarist Brian “Head” Welch at a recent event hosted by The Whosoevers, a Christian non-profit organization. The gathering also featured Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery, who has similarly embraced Christianity in recent years.
Fieldy stepped away from Korn in 2021, later revealing that lines of communication between himself and his former bandmates remained severed for several years following his exit. Earlier this spring, guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer reflected on the split, noting that Fieldy had “checked out” prior to leaving due to the band’s relentless schedule and personal struggles. While Fieldy has also pointed to the pandemic as a key factor in reevaluating his life, recent signs hint at healing personal ties—including Welch hanging out with Fieldy’s musician son, Israel Arvizu, earlier this year.
