Finnish metal band To/Die/For has appointed Sanna Solanterä as their new lead vocalist. The band announced the news on social media today. Solanterä replaces founding member Jarno “Jape” Perätalo, who announced his departure in November 2023.
“We are truly excited about this new chapter of To/Die/For,” the band stated in their announcement. “We can’t wait to get on stage and release new music with this fantastic new lineup.“
Solanterä is well-known to metal music fans from her work with bands Fireproven and My Favourite Nemesis. She gained broader recognition in 2020 as a finalist in the 9th season of The Voice of Finland.
Founded in 1999, To/Die/For returned to active duty in 2022 after being on hiatus since 2016. Solanterä’s joining marks a new era in the history of the band, which has been known for their melodic metal music.
