Thundermother reveal the title and release date of their upcoming new album – a new single will be out soon

Swedish rock and roll band Thundermother‘s guitarist Filippa Nässil and vocalist Linnéa Vikström Egg revealed in an interview with The Adventures Of Pipeman at this month’s Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany, that their upcoming album, “Mothers Of Thunder,” will be released in February 2027, as per Blabbermouth. “Bimbo Boost”—the album’s lead single—will be released in September 2026.

How about the lyrical inspiration?

It’s got multiple layers to it. [Laughs] I’m blonde and I bought my hair for very much money, so [laughs] I’m a bit of a bimbo myself. I’m a blonde Swedish girl. Obviously, I’m a bimbo. – Linnéa Vikström Egg

All of Thundermother‘s musicians have been female, with the exception of the original lineup. The band has had internal issues, such as numerous band member defections and challenges with internal collaboration. Nathalie Lejon on vocals, Filippa Čssil on guitar, Moa Munoz on bass, and Tomas Salonen on drums made up the original lineup in Växjö. They performed for the first time in April 2010 at a youth center in Växjö, with the local band Wera serving as the support act. In its early years, the band had a wide range of members, but starting in 2012, the lineup became consistent. With the exception of Filippa Ássil, all band members departed in March 2017. The band’s founder, Ássil, decided to carry on with a different lineup.
